It Takes A City are excited to announce the appointment of Cameron Holloway as the new Chair of Trustees, with effect from 1 September 2026.
Cameron has lived in Cambridge for thirteen years, and cares deeply about tackling homelessness. Cameron spent several years working with people in prison and on probation, where he started to understand some of the overlapping challenges that can lead to and entrench homelessness.
He continued to prioritise addressing homelessness during his time as a Cambridge City Councillor: as Executive Councillor for Community Safety, Homelessness and Wellbeing and as Leader of the Council, Cameron championed policies to tackle inequality across the city, such as the council’s house building programme and anti-poverty work, as well as more immediate supportive measures for people facing homelessness, on which he worked closely with It Takes a City and the city’s other homelessness charities.
Cameron said of the appointment:
I am delighted to take up the role of Chair of Trustees at It Takes A City. I really admire their innovative and collaborative approach to tackling homelessness, and I hope that I can make a positive contribution to their work. Thank you to Chris Jenkin for the amazing work that he has done as Chair — I will try my best to live up to the very high standard that he has set. I am very much looking forward to working with everyone at ITAC and with the many fantastic people and organisations across Cambridge and beyond aiming to prevent, relieve, and ultimately end homelessness.

Cameron will succeed Chris Jenkin, the founder and current Chair of ITAC who will be retiring after leading It Takes A City since its foundation in 2019.
I am delighted to welcome Cameron to the It Takes A City (Cambridge) Board of Trustees, and very pleased that he has been appointed Chair from 1st September 2026. It has been my privilege to Chair the charity since its inception in 2018/19, and I know I leave the Chair in exceptionally capable hands. Cameron has been, and will remain, a strong voice advocating for the needs of those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping and I look forward to the charity making further strides in making homelessness and rough sleeping rare, brief and non-recurring in Cambridge.
All our staff look forward to working with Cameron.
