Last Sunday, to mark International Women’s Day, we joined many others at the End Women’s Homelessness assembly in Newnham College, where members from Embrace Cambridge and Gender Agenda collaborated with local charities to explore and discuss the unique challenges faced by at-risk and vulnerable women experiencing homelessness in the city.

A five photo montage of discussions taking place at the End Women's Homelessness assembly

Lis Silver, our CEO, and Claire Downes, Women’s Service Coordinator, addressed the audience. We were excited and inspired by the conversations and ideas generated on how to reduce barriers for women to access the support they need.

All proceeds from the event fundraiser and raffle went to support The Haven, our overnight safe space for at-risk women in Cambridge city centre. Donate or find out more about the project.
