We wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our work over the last year.
Our amazing volunteers have helped make a home for the 20 guests (and their dogs) who will be spending Christmas with us at Crossways. The Haven would not be a safe, overnight space for women in the city centre without the many who have given their time and love. We couldn’t have done it without you and thank each and every one.
Whenever we have asked for donations of food, toiletries, clothing and other items, your response has been overwhelming. Because of your generosity, our guests can look forward to a Christmas with gifts, a special dinner and cupboards stocked with goodies. Every donation has been gratefully welcomed. Thank you.
We thank the many choirs, orchestras, businesses and community groups who have held recitals, concerts and donation drives, raising much appreciated funds and items for use at Crossways and The Haven. Also, thanks to those who have made individual donations via our website or in our collection bucket at events.
The first residents have moved into Joy’s Corner, our Community Land Trust’s new modular homes project, just in time for Christmas. We thank the many businesses from across the construction sector who helped make this a reality. Because of your support, four people will be starting the new year with hope for a better future.
