We were recently joined by over twenty students at a meeting organised in partnership with the Students Union, Just Love and Embrace, to discuss how they could best support our homeless neighbours and campaign effectively to address inequality in the UK’s most unequal city.
Elisabeth Silver, Alice Gilderdale and Matt Nelson from ITAC provided an overview of our work with some of the city’s most disadvantaged rough sleepers, over the winter at Crossways and beyond via our ‘survive and thrive’ service.
Student groups promoted their work and Harvey from the SU fed back on progress of the Cambridge Land Justice campaign, aimed at mapping the land holdings of each college.
We hope that this meeting will lead to increased support from both student groups and individuals in the coming months.
