Providing Safety and Comfort

01/11/2022

Today sees the reopening of Crossways, our winter emergency accommodation project. The project provides each guest with safety and comfort in one of twenty ensuite rooms. We will once again be working closely with partner agencies to assist people in moving on to next stage accommodation that best meets their needs. You can read about last year’s project in this report.

We are incredibly grateful to our landlord, CATS Global Schools, for their continuing support, including new carpet in the lounge. They also donated the oven that you can see Eileen happily receiving. This will make the daily communal meals, a central part of the Crossways philosophy, much easier to prepare.

“It's the small things that can make all the difference”

As with all ITAC projects, our amazing network of partner organisations will be providing support with both donations of items and volunteers.

If you would like to make a donation to help make each guests stay with us as comfortable as possible, please see this list.

Once again, we are partnering with Cambridge Churches Homeless Project (CCHP), who are co-ordinating the volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, particularly as a head cook, for an overnight shift or for a weekend shift, please follow this link which will take you to the CCHP website, where you will find details of how to apply and the short form that needs to be completed.
