It’s been fantastic to see so many students keen to learn more about homelessness and how they can help to end it in Cambridge. Just Love, Embrace and Cambridge Students’ Union, kindly displayed our flyers and talked to those attending this years’ Freshers’ Fair about our work.
ITAC has been working alongside various groups to share information, support and advice with students who would like to get involved with local organisations. We put together a dedicated flyer for students to highlight four main areas:
- How to help someone who is at risk of or already experiencing homelessness
- How to help someone sleeping rough
- Everyday support you can direct people towards
- If you want to help financially
As many students are new to the city, we’re keen to share information about the reasons why people lead a street-based lifestyle and the network of organisations working to support homeless and vulnerably housed people.
