We thank Mills & Reeve for inviting our CEO, Liz Silver, to give a presentation to staff to mark International Women’s Day. It was a great opportunity to talk about homelessness in the city and the additional barriers that women face in staying safe and accessing appropriate services.
Liz gave special thanks to Anne from the Women’s Homelessness Action Group and Alex from Solidarity Hub for sharing their own experiences. Do get in touch if you are a company who is interested in finding out more about the work It takes a City are doing to end rough sleeping in the city.
We look forward to the amazing donations generated by the Giving Tree. Many of these will be used for our new project to provide a safe overnight space for women in the city centre.
