ITAC staff receive donations from Second Life ProjectWe give thanks for two recent donations in support of Crossways, our winter emergency accommodation project reopening on 1st November.

Project Second Life is an initiative started three years ago by students at Darwin College. The Project collects reusable items from students moving out at the end of the academic year and runs a pay-what-you-feel sale for new arrivals at the start of Autumn term.

We were contacted by project organiser Megan, who asked if we could make use of any unsold items. We were happy to receive several boxes of high quality nearly new clothes, shoes, bedding, and blankets that will help make guests at Crossways feel at home and cosy!

CWRC deliver donations for CrosswaysOur friends at Cambridge Women’s Resource Centre (CWRC) donated a van load of mainly women’s clothing and bedding. We have selected a good supply for Crossways and are able to share the remainder with other projects supporting women.  We look forward to their continuing support throughout the winter.

We thank St Andrew’s Street Baptist Church for providing the space to receive donations, and to their volunteer team for sorting through and making sense of everything.

Contact itacdonations@ittakesacity.org.uk if you would like to arrange collection or delivery of any items to support our guests at Crossways.
