We’ll be back in Crossways, our award-winning emergency night shelter next week, tidying the place up and getting everything ready for guests to join us in November. Many people arrive with very little, sometimes just the clothes they are wearing. We’re asking for help to restock the cupboards and clothing rails so that it feels like a home from day one. Every donation makes a difference, and we will ensure it is used to maximum effect, both at Crossways and The Haven (our safe, overnight space for vulnerable women in the city centre).
We are looking for the following:
- Biscuits
- Chicken flavour pot noodles
- Condiments
- Salt and pepper
- Ketchup
- Brown sauce
- BBQ sauce
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Mayonnaise
- Tinned tuna
- Tinned tomatoes
- Meals in a tin (e.g. Curries, pasta stews)
- Fruit squash
- UHT milk
- Cartons of custard
- Cereals
- Pot noodles, instant rice and instant pasta (e.g. Pasta ‘n’ Sauce)
- In date, unopened dry goods such as pasta, rice, flour, sugar
- Towels (hand towels and bath sheets)
- New pillows/duvets
- Winter shoes/boots (m/f all sizes)
If someone would like to help us with fresh donations, a supermarket delivery, whether one-off or regularly, of fresh food (such as cheese, yogurt, margarine, ham, fruit, salad veg, coleslaw, food that can be air fried etc.) would be hugely appreciated!
Email itacdonations@itac.org.uk to arrange delivery/collection.
