With Winter closing in Chris Dade, our Support Services Manager, spoke to Julian Clover on his Cambridge 105 Breakfast Show about the current situation in Cambridge. They discussed how people sleeping rough in the city are referred to Crossways, how we work with each guest to help them access the support they need, and the partnership that supports them to move on to longer term accommodation and away from the streets.
Julian was also interested in our Survive & Thrive service that supports people beyond their stay at Crossways, using the Trusted Person model to avoid them having to retell their stories and relive their trauma when talking to different organisations.
The Haven and the vital role volunteers, partner agencies and the wider community play in supporting our small team was also discussed.
