The new academic year is upon us, with thousands of students returning to, or arriving in the city for the first time.

Students in Cambridge often interact with our homeless neighbours, both during the daytime and at night. Sometimes, especially for new residents, it can be hard to know how to respond. Homelessness is complex, and nobody chooses a life on the streets or in insecure accommodation.

We believe that if everybody better understood the bigger picture and was equipped to respond, it would help us to end homelessness in the long term.

We have produced Student Support for the Cambridge Homeless Community to make students aware of the networks of support available to homeless and vulnerable people in the city. Please share this guide with anybody who might find it helpful.
