Today we press ‘Go Live’ on the new It Takes a City website. It is testament to what can be achieved when you reach out via LinkedIn.
On 10 October last year, World Homeless Day, we put out a call for advice on how to refocus our website. We had grown so quickly since our formation, following the Cambridge Summit on Homelessness in November 2018. We wanted the site to reflect this, and be the place that people go to for news and information about the many partnerships at the heart of our work.
Within Days, Jim Gandon from Cambridge Creative offered to help. Jim was keen to find out more about our work, having experienced homelessness in his youth. Following a chat via Teams, Jim made the incredibly generous offer to build us a new website from scratch.
Over the last nine months, the design team at Cambridge Creative have been amazing and supportive. They listened to our ideas and checked that we were happy at every stage. The result is a website that we are excited to present and develop over the coming months.
